The Assam table: meal at my mom’s
Assam, a lesser-known state in Northeast India, has a culinary tradition that is vastly different yet incredibly flavorful and approachable.
It's a cuisine of contrasts—fresh and fermented, hearty and delicate, tangy and mellow. You’ll find mustard oil, black sesame, rice in many forms, along with seasonal vegetables, river fish, and minimalism in spicing. It's not flashy—but it’s deeply flavorful, comforting, and full of heart.

Khokuwa Supper Club
The Khokuwa Supper Club is more than just a meal—it's a journey through memory, place, and tradition. This is the food I grew up eating at my mother’s table—simple, soulful dishes that celebrate local ingredients, gentle spices, and time-honored techniques passed down through generations of Assamese home cooks.

Stories from far away land - home
But what makes this dinner special is the storytelling. You'll hear about why the dish is on the menu, who taught me to make it, and the memories it stirs up. It’s a way to introduce not just a cuisine, but a culture—through flavor, scent, and story. At its heart, Khokuwa Supper Club is about connection—between food and memory, between me and you, and between Assam and wherever you call home.
